Founded in 1996 under the leadership of former Thai Prime Minister Anand Panyarachun, Kenan Foundation Asia is a leading non-profit organization advancing social and economic development across Southeast Asia. Together, we strengthen economic, educational, health, and civil society systems across Southeast Asia.

Strengthening Thailand’s Development Through Government Partnerships
From our founding, the Government of Thailand has been a vital partner and supporter of Kenan Foundation Asia’s mission. We maintain trusted, long-standing relationships with the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and key ministries,
including Commerce, Industry, Education, Science and Technology, and Labour.
Kenan collaborates with Thai government agencies and state enterprises to advance national priorities in education, innovation, and enterprise development. Our work encompasses advising on STEM and SME policy, intellectual property, and investment promotion, as well as delivering hands-on capacity-building initiatives for small and medium-sized enterprises, industry clusters, and community entrepreneurs.
