BANGKOK, October 3, 2025 — The Boeing STEM and Technical Education Classroom 2025 Project hosted a vital Teacher Seminar to present the results of classroom development aimed at integrating awareness of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHSE). The seminar gathered teachers from vocational colleges specializing in aircraft maintenance and aviation business, reinforcing the industry’s commitment to safety and sustainability.
Expertise from the Field
The event was honored by the participation of volunteer experts from Boeing: Mr. Isada Phungsoondara, Customer Engagement Lead, Global Strategic Initiatives, and Mr. Puckkatorn Subanpong, Boeing Field Service team leader. They shared their deep knowledge, real-world experiences from the aviation industry, and crucial insights on how to cultivate safety awareness among students from the perspective of “people working in the field.” The volunteers’ participation opened new perspectives for teachers, enabling them to apply the knowledge and ideas gained to design learning experiences that more closely connect to real-world practices. This hands-on approach helps prepare students for internships and future careers with a strong foundation in safety and sustainability.
The Three Essential Skills
The Boeing volunteers emphasized that cultivating a safety mindset is a “truly valuable investment.” They stressed that instilling a sense of safety in students while they are still in school is the best time to do it. They articulated their hope that graduating students will possess three essential skills upon entering the workforce:
- Discipline: The commitment to strictly follow safety rules.
- Collaboration: The ability to work together in addressing unsafe conditions in the workplace.
- Accountability: The understanding that improving safety is everyone’s duty, and the willingness to speak up whenever something unsafe is observed.
The volunteers concluded by underscoring that these critical efforts “must be maintained with consistency and continuous feedback” to ensure long-term industry resilience.
