Kenan Foundation Asia Celebrates 30 Years of Impact and Partnership

Bangkok, Thailand – February 11, 2026 – Kenan Foundation Asia (Kenan) marked its 30th Anniversary at the Annual Reception held at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok, bringing together distinguished guests, long-standing partners, donors, and collaborators from the public, private, and civil society sectors.

Established in 1996 through a unique partnership between Thailand, the United States, and the private sector, Kenan was founded on a shared belief that sustainable development is driven by knowledge, skills, and strong collaboration. Over the past three decades, Kenan has worked across Thailand, Vietnam, and the Greater Mekong Sub-region to strengthen education systems, expand economic opportunities, and support inclusive and resilient communities.

Since its establishment, Kenan has implemented over 1,000 projects, reached more than 4 million beneficiaries, and managed over USD 100 million in development programs. These efforts reflect long-term partnerships and a consistent commitment to practical, locally grounded solutions that respond to evolving social and economic challenges.

The 30th Anniversary celebration, held under the theme “Three Decades of Impact, A Shared Journey to the Future,”highlighted Kenan’s journey across past achievements, present impact, and future direction. The event featured reflections on key milestones, recognition of partners and donors, and the premiere of a commemorative anniversary video.

In his special address, H.E. Anand Panyarachun, Founding and Honorary Chairman of Kenan Foundation Asia, reflected on the organization’s founding vision and the importance of sustained collaboration in advancing development across the region.

Khunying Jada Wattanasiritham, Chairperson of Kenan Foundation Asia, emphasized the importance of continued partnership in navigating future challenges:

“Over the past 30 years, Kenan’s work has been made possible by strong partnerships across sectors. As we look ahead, collaboration will remain essential in addressing emerging challenges and creating opportunities for people and communities to thrive.”

Looking forward, Kenan reaffirmed its commitment to advancing skills development in areas critical to the future, including artificial intelligence, green skills, and workforce readiness, while expanding its work across ASEAN. The organization continues to focus on practical, evidence-based approaches that strengthen systems, build local capacity, and create pathways for sustainable and inclusive growth.

The evening concluded with a renewed call for collaboration, inviting partners to continue shaping the next chapter of shared impact.
